The BONJIL Muse Search (“Contest”) is sponsored by BONJIL, LLC (“Sponsor”).

The Contest is designed as a skill-based promotional contest celebrating personal rituals, intentional living, and the philosophy that caring for ourselves is an essential part of wellbeing.

No purchase is necessary to enter or win.

2. Contest Overview

The BONJIL Muse Search invites participants to contribute a Note from a Muse to Archives of New York, a living collection of the everyday rituals that help people pause, reset, and reconnect with themselves.

Participants are invited to submit a personal reflection describing a meaningful ritual in their lives. Throughout the Contest Period, eligible submissions will be reviewed by BONJIL.

Selected participants may be invited to continue through additional stages of the selection process.

One participant will ultimately be selected as the inaugural BONJIL Muse.

3. Eligibility

The Contest is open to individuals who:

• Are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
• Reside in New York City or the surrounding New York metropolitan area.
• Agree to these Official Rules and the Terms of Entry & Submission Agreement.
• Submit an eligible entry during the Contest Period.

For purposes of the Contest, the New York metropolitan area includes residents of the five boroughs of New York City and surrounding communities in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

Employees, contractors, agencies, consultants, immediate family members, and household members of BONJIL are not eligible to participate.

Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility and residency before selecting a finalist or awarding any prize.

4. Contest Period

Submission Opening: Sep 1, 2026

Submission Closing: Oct 1, 2026 

Finalist Selection: Oct 9, 2026

BONJIL Muse Announcement: Oct 15, 2026

Sponsor reserves the right to modify the Contest schedule.

5. How to Enter

Participants may submit one or more original Notes from a Muse by:

• Typing a Note directly into the online submission form; or
• Writing a handwritten Note, photographing it, and uploading the image.

Participants may also choose to include optional supporting materials, including photographs or short videos illustrating their ritual.

Submission of optional supporting materials is not required during the initial submission stage.

Selected participants may be invited to provide additional stories, photographs, videos, interviews, or other materials during subsequent stages of the Contest.

6. Submission Requirements

Each submission must:

• Be original and created by the participant.
• Reflect the participant’s own personal experience.
• Not infringe upon any intellectual property, publicity, privacy, or other legal rights of any third party.
• Not contain unlawful, offensive, defamatory, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate material.
• Comply with all Contest requirements and submission guidelines.

Sponsor reserves the right to remove or disqualify any submission that does not comply with these Official Rules.

7. Judging Criteria

The BONJIL Muse Search is intended to be conducted as a skill-based contest.

Submissions will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

All judging decisions shall be final.

8. Selection Process

Following the close of submissions:

1. BONJIL will review all eligible entries.
2. Selected participants may be invited to submit additional materials, including photographs, videos, interviews, or expanded stories.
3. Finalists may participate in additional interviews or editorial sessions.
4. One participant will be selected as the inaugural BONJIL Muse.

BONJIL reserves the right not to select a winner if no submission sufficiently reflects the philosophy or judging criteria of the Contest.

9. Prize

One participant will receive the BONJIL Muse Experience, currently anticipated to include:

• $1,000 BONJIL Muse Award
• Personalized BONJIL Ritual at the BONJIL Madison Avenue Flagship
• One year of personalized BONJIL skincare
• BONJIL Music Box
• Professional editorial photography and campaign experience
• Recognition as the inaugural BONJIL Muse

Approximate Retail Value:

Over $12,000 USD

Prize details remain subject to final confirmation.

Prizes are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash except where required by applicable law.

10. Publicity

Finalists and the selected BONJIL Muse may be required to execute additional publicity, media, talent, and promotional agreements before participating in:

• Photography
• Video production
• Editorial features
• Public appearances
• Advertising campaigns
• Social media campaigns
• Public relations activities

11. Participant Content

Participants retain ownership of their original submissions.

By submitting an entry, participants grant BONJIL permission to use their submitted Note, story, handwriting, photograph, video, audio, and other submitted materials in connection with the BONJIL Muse Search, Archives of New York, and related BONJIL editorial, marketing, advertising, promotional, public relations, media, archival, and communications activities, including future Archives of New York publications and collections.

BONJIL may identify participants by first name and age in connection with the authorized use of their submissions.

The complete scope of rights granted to BONJIL is described in the Terms of Entry & Submission Agreement accepted by each participant at the time of entry.

Finalists and the selected BONJIL Muse may be required to execute additional Media/Publicity Release and Talent Agreements.

12. Privacy

Personal information collected through the Contest will be handled in accordance with the BONJIL Muse Search Privacy Notice.

Information collected may include:

• Name
• Contact information
• Written Notes
• Photographs
• Video submissions
• Other materials voluntarily submitted by participants

13. Taxes

The winner is solely responsible for all federal, state, provincial, local, and other taxes associated with the prize.

Additional tax documentation may be required prior to prize fulfillment.

14. Right to Modify, Suspend, or Cancel

BONJIL reserves the right to modify, suspend, postpone, or terminate the Contest if necessary due to unforeseen circumstances, legal requirements, fraud, technical issues, or other events beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control.

15. Governing Law

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Contest and these Official Rules shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Contest or these Official Rules shall be subject to the applicable laws and jurisdiction of the State of New York.
